Brinkman assumes the leadership position at 31st Union following the dismissal of former leader the ex-Sledgehammer Games executive, who was reportedly let go due to Project Ethos' disappointing unveiling last fall.
On Wednesday, 2K president David Ismailer informed employees about this decision through an internal memo, which stressed that early feedback sessions had indicated the requirement for a more defined vision.
Ismailer expressed that the developers is now reimagining the project with a refreshed focus, aiming to satisfy player expectations.
